Might and Magic
The first thing I should say about this game is that it’s pretty old – end of 2004. In mobile gaming industry this means a lot. Still, it doesn’t mean it’s not the best game I’ve played in ages.
If you know a thing or two of games then you must have heard of Might and Magic series on the PC, a famous RPG series (Role Playing Game). What about Might and Magic? RPG on mobile? Not exactly: Gameloft chose to make this game an action-adventure, and a great one it is. What would you want from an RPG? Long playtime, spells, more characters, many kinds of monsters and maybe a good script among other things.
Well, here you go. Fifteen huge levels packed with monsters, puzzles with increasing level of difficulty and in which you have to use up to three characters. The game combines the two perfect ingredients for a good gameplay: a lot of action and pretty interesting puzzles.
How many games do you know where the solution for making a character go past a gate involves turning him into fog and use spells to blow him through? Or, in order to go through an icy region you’ll have to turn the same character into a wolf and ride him? Difficult but extremely interesting puzzles, a great combination. You’ll also encounter surprise attacks, many turns of events, even little cut scenes which add to the atmosphere and which you’ll surely enjoy. And, last but not the least I must mention the good graphics - weather and spell effects, decent animations all in a 3D isometric perspective of a detailed world.
Bear in mind that all the things mentioned above – and more – can be found in this great mobile game. So if you have a few good hours to spend and you miss the RPG of your home PC then this is the game for you. I know it was for me
